Review pick out from Paens of Hate #4 (greece)

Very good music here but totally spoiled by the production and the drum machine. First of all there is digital distortion in this whole release, which is a result of Tarv, the only person behind La Forêt Des Brumes, trying to record everything as loud as possible, which eventually introduces digital clipping and the end result is awful.
The drum machine sound as awful as if it is the one from the hip-hop program fruity loops (maybe it is). Besides the production errors here, there’s also some good and simple Black Metal, heavy and with depth on the guitars, which are very good in terms of musicianship.
I also liked the vocals a lot, being unique and wrathful.
To cap it all up, this would make a very good band if Tarv introduced more members and just focused on guitar and vocals, and of course if he recorded in a more professional way.
