Review pick out from Paens of Hate #4 (greece)

Here’s the first and only release by this Pagan Black Metal band from France. I was very impressed by the musicianship of these guys, although this style of music is not my cup of tea. Aldaaron play their instruments flawlessly and the music is not something that you hear everyday also. This 4-piece band shows that they rehearse their tracks often and the dual vocalists bring this album to new heights.
The guitar riffs are excellent, with the transitions from one to the next being usually great, the drums and bass complete the great sound of this EP and the vocals keep you hooked to that particular track. I could see some influences here, mainly from the French and old-Greek scene but I would not mention them since I am not that certain that they are there, they just reminded me of some good-old bands.
The five tracks and 24 minutes of music in this tape all just what a fan of this sub-genre would ask for, I would listen to this release again with no trouble too, and as I mentioned earlier I am not a big fan of Pagan Black Metal.

Review pick out from Funeral March Zine #6 (finland)

Aldaaron is a band I never heard of before. This is their first demo re-released on tape, earlier on CDr. It is really nice Pagan black metal, rather melodic and easy listened. I really like it, having in mind that it is their first demo it is very, very good !
These musicians are very talented.
The melodic, more "calm" parts are a very nice feature. That is something that I really like and it lifts the whole record up. Overall I must say that this is one of the best demos I have heard in the Pagan metal genre. Highly recommended !
O.O.
