French group Les Chants de Nihil already known in our country and earned the love and respect for the fans of his previous works. I am waiting for their new full-length work, and this is their third album in front of me. The guys did not strongly modify something in the music, the album continues the line of predecessors, musically it is the same Black / Doom Metal. The first song album captures and releases to the end, making listening to this music over and over again. Thoughtfulness and melancholy go hand in hand with aggression and some doom. Quick bits are replaced by incredible beauty and melodic parts, but the overall consistency and atmosphere of this work did not suffer. All songs are sustained at about the same vein, except for the final track, which is a beautiful, melodic and unhurried instrumental worthy of completing the album. Overall, the album sounds very autumn, although it was released in the spring. The strongest, in my opinion, the songs - "La Dévastation par les Iris" and "Dame Silence", although, again, absolutely all the songs are extremely strong. The French managed to make a really great job without any flaws, this album - one of the best I've heard in 2010. I recommend to all fans of groups such as Sun Of The Blind and Funeral Mourning. A few words about the design - a standard 8-page booklet contains all lyrics, and photos of the band.

If you are looking for music with 100% feeling, look no more! Les Chants de Nihil play exactly that, Black Metal full of feeling. The riffing and vocals are everything you can ever ask for, in a release of this type, and the production is simply wonderful and fits the music perfectly. Formed in 2007 the band already has 3 full length albums under it's belt, so as it seems they are very dedicated to what they are doing. "La Liberte Guidant le Fer" is a huge step forwards for the band and I was very impressed when I first listened to it. 55 minutes long with 7 tracks in it, this is a CD you must purchase.
